Animal Welfare Center
Do you know the Animal Welfare Center? We can play with many animals there. We can also get an animal after learning about it. I heard about the center from my mother.
Two years ago, I visited the center with my friend to get a dog. There were about fifteen dogs in the Fureai Dome. I enjoyed playing with them.
After that I talked with a man working there. He was Mr. Ikeda. He told me that dogs are wonderful animals. Some dogs help people with disabilities, and other dogs work as rescue dogs to save people's lives. Some people feel happy when they are with dogs.
I thought that dogs are not only cute, but also kind!!!!

Old affair in Wakayama
In September, 1890, a big Turkish ship, the Ertugrul, met a big typhoon and was broken near Oshima. There were more than 600 people on the ship, and a lot of them fell into the sea. The people of Oshima heard about it and wanted to save the Turkish people. So, they ran to the sea. But only 69 people were saved. The people of Oshima took the 69 Turkish people to their village and gave them food and place to sleep.
I was impressed very much when I heard this affair, and I thought that I wanted to be a kind person like them.

The great person
I am from Wakayama, so I investigate the great person who was born or lived Wakayama.
First, Matsusita Kounosuke was born in Wakayama in 1894. He lived with his family there. But he had to leave home to work because his father's business failed.
Kounosuke started to work at a shop in Osaka. He was only nine years old. The master and his wife were very kind. They took good care of him. He thanked them and worked very hard every day. He got a strong will there. It's important to work hard with a strong will for people. He learned that at the shop.
He is famous as the person who spread electric appliances. I respect him very much!!!!

My opinion for protecting the earth
The earth is for all the people who live here together. But don't forget that it is not only for the people living today. We have to think of the people who will live many years from now,too. We must work with the idea of "mottainai" for them. Let's start today for the earth of tomorrow. There are many things we can do around us!! For example, turn off the TV when you are not watching it. Stop using too much water when you wash your hands. Take your bag when you go shopping. You will find that these things are not so difficult!!!!

Holiday
November 21,22 and 23 I returned to the parents' house in Wakayama. I could meet parents, brothers and grandparents. I was very glad to meet them. I walked my dog when I went home in Wakayama. My dog looked very happy, and I became happy, too!!
I bought a maple steamed bun in Hiroshima for grandparents, I handed it to a souvenir of Hiroshima. My grandparents were pleased very much and I was very glad. November 22, my grandmother and I went to Wakayama Station for shopping. My grandmother bought a coat for me. Because the coat was expensive, I thanked grandmother very much. I use the coat carefully every day. And I want to use the coat for years.
When I returned to Hiroshima, my mother and older sister saw off me to the station. I did not want to leave Wakayama, but my mother encouraged me, so I intended to try study hard at a university.

I think that to live in countryside is better than to live in city.
First, nature is rich in countryside, and the scenery is very beautiful.
Second, we don't feel lonely because countryside is strong in the connection with local people.
Also, it is easy to live because land changes are lower in countryside than city.
